WHAT WE BELIEVE
Christlike Love
Jesus' love is at the foundation of all things. Therefore we seek to embrace and embody God's love as expressed through Jesus Christ, extending it unconditionally to all people. This love shapes every aspect of our church life, influencing how we relate to one another, serve our community, and fulfill our mission to share the gospel.
"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." – John 13:34-35
Prayerful
At St. Andrew’s we believe in the power and necessity of prayer as a means of communicating with God, seeking His guidance, and interceding for others. Through prayer, we cultivate intimacy with God, align our hearts with His will, and participate in His work in the world. It is central to our individual spiritual lives and corporate gatherings, fostering dependence on God and nurturing a vibrant relationship with Him.
"Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus." – 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Biblical
St. Andrew’s is firmly rooted in the Bible, viewing it as the revealed Word of God. We believe that Scripture provides the foundation for all aspects of our faith and practice, offering guidance, wisdom, and truth for our lives. By prioritizing biblical teaching and living, we seek to grow in our understanding of God, deepen our relationship with Him, and faithfully live out His commands.
"Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path." – Psalm 119:105
Transformational
Transformation is an essential part of our faith journey. Through a relationship with Christ, individuals and communities are continually transformed to reflect God’s love, grace, and truth more deeply. We are committed to fostering environments that encourage personal and communal growth, leading to lasting and positive change.
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." – Romans 12:2
Missional
Our church is dedicated to living out the gospel through active engagement in our local and global communities. We believe that faith is best expressed through acts of service, justice, and compassion, reflecting Christ’s love in tangible ways. Just as Jesus was sent by God on mission, we are sent by Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit to extend God’s kingdom by addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those around us.
"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." – Matthew 28:19-20
Intergenerational
We deeply value the connection and collaboration between all age groups. Every generation offers unique insights and contributions that are vital for the growth and vitality of our faith community. Our goal is to foster relationships that transcend age barriers, creating a cohesive and supportive environment where everyone can learn from and inspire one another.
"One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts." – Psalm 145:4
